See It Glow

The fire burns so brightly
Yet seems a distant memory
I fear the flame may soon burn out
By water, not lack of air
I can’t bare to see a pile of ashes
Taking with it all that was
All that is, it seems so certain
Must rekindle what was there all along
Not rebuild, it didn’t fall
Not amend for it wasn’t broken
Just give in, let it happen
What was there to start with will remain
Don’t go through it all again
To find a darkness in something bright
Don’t let go, hold on tight
It isn’t hard, if you want it to happen
I can see a glow, will it get brighter?
