| What is God like? | |
There was once a man who was hungry for food when a crisp packet caught his eye in a shop. It was the most expensive crisp packet in the shop but he still bought it.
As he was munching away at his crisps, a boy also in need of food asked him for some crisps. At first the man was selfish and left the boy to go hungry, but he then realised that the boy needed food quite badly. So he gave him some.
The boy tried the crisp and loved it. He craved for more but the man became selfish.
The boy went to find a job, and when he had raised some money, he went out and spent all his money on this particular crisp packet.
The boy liked it so much that he told his friends about it and they told their friends.
Within several days, the whole village had heard about this crisp. Some people liked it, yet a lot of people didn't. The people that were in need of food liked it best, and all of those who took it were never hungry for any other food again. All those didn't taste the food and buy more died of hunger because nothing else would satisfy their stomachs.
The crisp packet is like God. Some people try him and find that he is what they have been looking for all their lives. Others try it and prefer to live on other things. Some like it, but are not willing to give up everything they have for it. Some are selfish and will not share the satisfying crisp. Others will spend all their money on it and will share it with those in need.
